Yes, it is indeed sad that you can still be thrown in jail for smoking a bit of weed, especially since there are so many real problems in this fine country I live in (USA)that this time, effort, and money could be applied to. Hell, not even half of the states have legalized medical marijuana, meanwhile the doctors and pharmaceutical companies are killing people every day with all of their anti-depressant pills, pain pills, etc. Very sad indeed.

Marijuana possession is illegal, shit happens. Hide it, don't hide it. Deal with the consequences if you do get caught. She chose to smoke it in public and not hide it (one charge), then decided to hide evidence of said possession by throwing the evidence out of the window of her 36th floor apartment. Frankly, she's lucky it didn't kill someone and isn't facing a homicide charge as well instead of reckless endangerment. So she turned what was probably nothing more than probably misdemeanor possession (2-8 oz, max one year, $250 fine) into something a lot worse due to being a paranoid drug addled twat.

IMO arresting someone for weed or tossing a bong out the window is the real crime. This is how we keep the prisons full and hammer the tax payers. IMO weed like alcohol should be legal (BTW i don't smoke pot)

And I the only one surprised she was caught only with marijuana? I would've expected her apartment to be littered with crackpipes and syringes!

But as long as it IS illegal, and shes on probation, it's hard to have any sympathy for her, shes the one thats been acting like an idiot having regular scrapes with the law, she needs to get clean, not use more drugs.
