Jennifer Connelly - jogging in New York - Aug 9, 2013

I'm a runner too. The thing is, there's a difference between someone who takes a few mile runs once in awhile, and someone who is more serious about it that does long distances. There's going to be a very noticeable body type difference between someone who runs shorter distances and someone who runs longer distances. Look at the Olympics for an example. All the longer distance runners (and 10000 isn't even long distance) are thin.

 

In comparison, look at Natalie Portman's legs in this recent post - http://forum.phun.org/showthread.php?t=1146679
Natalie Portman doesn't look like a runner yet her legs are skinnier than Jennifer Connelly's.

 

Portman doesn't have boney knee protrusions normally associated with malnourishment or starvation.

 

Now flip the script. If she was chubby instead of skinny the same people calling her a twig would say "Oh, she let herself go!" "She looks like shit" "Holy hell what happened?". Some people are never happy.

 

WDF! I want the old 1989/1991 Jennifer back!

 

This is because we as humans have a relative ideal body weight. We generally look our healthiest when we aren't too thin or too fat. Similar to how this is not as issue of age, it is not so much an issue of her being too thin as it is about her looking sickly, like she is going to extremes to change something about herself.

 

She does look unhealthily skinny in these pictures.

I hope this isnt one of those Hollywood body dysmorphic type of deals where she thinks that by getting ultra skinny shell get more film roles.

She is to much thin!

 

is there a concern that she could fall right through one of the vents on the sidewalk in NYC?
I'd also be afraid to run outside on a windy day- the wind may just take her
