One has to truly love SOME Americans' concept of history. MANY Americans believe that they won WW2, and if they hadn't decided to join, Germany would have won. While certainly the American contribution in materiel tipped the scales, by the time the American Army began to, in a large scale, conduct operations, they were facing an enemy who's supply lines were stretched beyond capacity, whose army was filled with foreign conscripts, and a German leader who was already starting to lose his mind.

Further, many nations contributed personnel, materiel and money for the entire SIX years of the war, as opposed to the TWO years the Americans spent.

 

Oh for the love of God, this is a forum devoted to T&A not IQ -- give it a rest.

 

Funny how "your" version of history is so convoluted in your beliefs that your country being constantly bombed day in and day out until the US stepped in to help out. You also have to remeber years before we even stepped in we were helping supply your country with the weapons to even continue to fight. You live on an Island where else were you going to get the rations, material, and raw supplies to even put up a fight? Way before those last "two" years we entered into the war our merhcant marines and American lives were at risk sailing in waters patrolled by German U-boats to give you the food, medicine, and supplies you Britons needed.

 

OH Boy -- yeah Wazz, I missed this too. OK. Western Allies Faced 76 German Divisions Total in Every Theater throughout the war. Russian faced over 470. Land war against Germans fought largely by Russians. Air/Sea War against Germans - most dramatic victories by Britan. But Britan also had some pretty dramatic defeats as well. In short, without the sustained bombing of Germany made possible in terms of resources AND MAN POWER neither Britan nor Russia would have enjoyed the complete triumph they did and since England was already bleed white by 1942, it's likely that without American entry into the war that they would have been wholly dependent upon Russian success. Not only that, but there's a reason that the Germans thought they had more to worry about from Patton or Eisenhower than from Cunty, I mean Lucky McGee, oh no wait Montgomery -- because Montgomery was a tart who got lucky ONCE. Patton and Eisenhower outwitted the Germans several times.

The US is my adopted home. I was not born here but am proud i became a citizen 10 years ago. To hear some stupid idiot who knows nothing about my country or it's culture was asking for a rebuttal. My comments about rapists and felons apply to our friend Woody who is from Australia. I just wanted to show him what an idiot he is for even trying to chime in. Sure i can go on and insult how much a suck up his people are by printing the Queen of England's picture on their money or how their heritage as criminals caused their government to seize all their firearms away from them, but i haven't yet.

Besides what great nation created the most technological advances that propelled human kind to where we are at now? Which country invented the internet so Woody can sit at home thinking he is anonymous and talk shit about others? Which country made more advances in transportation, health care, and science than any other country in the world? Which country has an economy that far surpasses any second rate country by a wide margin? To me that doesn't sound like a nation built upon the backs of idiots like some here would claim.
