    The interesting thing is, they aren't THAT expensive... right around the price of a upper-mid level luxury car. And then you figure in the savings on gas/petrol. The issue is, it's not a car you want to take long road trips in on have in a northeast winter because of the recharge times and also the cold affects the power systems.

    There has been rumors of an Apple/Tesla partnership which would be totally freaking epic, IMHO.

    It's probably not going to be anything interesting. Musk (from Tesla) met with somebody from Apple last year and that's all there was to the Apple side of it.

    But, Telsa is very dependent on getting enough lithium-ion batteries and at cheap price. I think it was speculated for a while, but they recently officially announced that they are building their own battery factory. Apple is probably going to be one of their partners in that, buying some percentage of their batteries from them. But, it's supposed to be the largest battery factory in the world and eventually equal the power output of all others combined. So, I'd guess many companies will be "partners".

    Though, I suppose a battery factory of that size is kind of interesting.
