My take on the reaction to JLH:

She was hot - and she knew it. She teased and taunted the shit out of her male fans - and she made a lot of money off of it! The ultimate sexy - but always clad - cock tease. She continuously exuded sex appeal but professed to be innocent and she never, ever did a proper nude scene despite the constant alluding to going naked. It seemed like there was always this implied promise that if they stuck it out long enough, her fans would be rewarded with what they really wanted to see.

She was incredibly annoying to watch when she was being herself and she constantly came across as being someone who greatly over-estimated her acting and singing talents. Her talk show appearances come to my mind, they almost made me gag with her trying to be over-the-top cute. Her spate of douchey boyfriends made her even more unpalatable to our consciousness. Her fashion choices were laughable but despite it all, we forever awaited that wardrobe malfunction that would make up for them.

So ultimately, the cumulative effect of a male fan base that always wanted her to deliver on their fantasies, who constantly put money in her pocket while anxiously awaiting some kind of payoff from her that never materialized, has transformed into a tsunami of hatred and collective spite for her to show her that she deservedly no longer merits their attention or affection.

there are plenty of celeb sites with almost identical content where only photo posting is allowed, no comment posting, it's like being in a sound vacuum, phunners would not like it at all, so you put up with this and that, and you have full use of the IGNORE button for habitual haters

The sad thing is that in her personal life she has been a notorious Hollywood slut over the last 15 years or so.
