Plus, simply put, I fail to see the upside for her. Taylor is about as "A" list as you can get. She has more money than God. Why would she do Maxim? Taylor doesn't need the money. Look at Ashley Tisdale, she has a lot of money but not compared to Taylor, she's a "C" list. Same with folks like Selena, Vanessa H., Ashley Benson. But you go almost anywhere in the world and they've heard of Taylor, so she doesn't need the publicity. She can certainly be photographed by any name photographer she wants. Now does anyone actually think that Taylor needs to do a photo shoot so that a bunch of horny guys can jack off to her? I don't see it. She isn't Kim K. who I think has an almost pathological (and economic, it has after all become her livelihood) need to be in the public eye every day. And if Taylor does, well, guys are jerking off over pictures of her in shorts and skirts on the streets of NYC, what can be a bigger ego trip than that? She doesn't have to get nude or semi nude to elicit that response. Now could she do it in the far future, maybe. But look at other stars from her basic time frame, does anyone see Carrie Underwood or Katy Perry going full blown nude, or doing a shoot for Maxim? Maxim may buy some shoots of them but believe me there is a difference. Look, Miley couldn't even talk Taylor into getting a Tattoo, what are the real odds of Maxim or Playboy? I could be wrong but I think that the odds are better that Taylor BUYS Maxim (I mean the whole operation, not just a mag) than that she poses for them.

 

I am 100% sure that Taylor will never do Playboy. Playboy sucks anyway. Too much airbrushing. And it's seen as a magazine for has-beens, not A-listers.

If you're looking for Taylor to do a photoshoot in something skimpy, your best bet is her doing a covershoot for Shape magazine or something like that. She won't be in a men's jerkoff magazine, but she might be in a women's health and fitness magazine. I could actually see Taylor posing in a bikini for Shape, in an "All American Girl" type of way.

Some of Shape's photoshoots are actually better than some of Maxim's, so this isn't a bad thing.

 

Actually, the biggest reason Taylor isn't likely to do Maxim, at least not until her career crashes and she's looking to rejuvenate it or something (and Playboy would be about ten years after that when she's doing Sharknado 12 for SyFy to pay the bills) is that men really aren't her core fanbase. Sure she's got lots of male fans, and some even for her music, but she doesn't cater to them the way someone like Miley does or go out of her way to be "edgy" or push the envelope for the sake of being controversial.
