    I'm glad she doesn't smile. There's no fucking reason to. If I had a camera shoved in my face 24 hours a day, not only would I not be smiling I'd also be swinging a blunt-force weapon.

    Yes, so you admit that it's a choice she's making, so this must become a problem only when we believe that she should, naturally, want to satisfy our desires. What she is doing is obviously not a problem for her. She has an entirely different set of values and priorities, among which is not included her obligation to satisfy the obsessions and fascinations of a depressing lot of media whores.

    I find her utter disregard for the presence of the photographers respectable, because here is a person who doesn't have to satisfy her sense of self-worth by receiving adoration and praise from others.
