    He looks like a nice enough guy. I don't see the issue here. Unless someone is totally superficial, most people are attracted to people who make them laugh, share interests, and/or are intellectual equals.

    Yeah... maybe you should find more important things to be sad about. For example, I would suggest being sad that there are people (like you) who think that love and attraction can only be based upon subjective physical ideals, and not on other traits, such as intelligence, wit, ambition, generosity, kindness, charm, etc. There is an infinite number of characteristics that draw one to another, not simply one's appearance and the size of one's wallet.

    Also, I don't see anything terrible about the way the man looks. He may not fit your personal criteria of handsomeness, but I'm sure he is more than suitable for others. Not all men share the same preferences in physical attributes of the opposite sex, and neither do women. Just compare how some men view Emma Watson versus how others respond to Christina Hendricks, as a case in point.

    But one thing I can say about the man in the photo is that he most likely took the initiative in approaching this lady and pursuing a relationship with her...and it would appear that he was successful in doing so. Now contrast that with someone who is whining on a message board about how unfair life is because he cannot find similar success with women.
