    I'll never understand why people that choose to be entertainers (and therefore know what comes with the gig) always insist on hiding their faces in these pictures...then they want you to pay $10 in the theater to watch their faces as they get paid 20 million.

    To be accurate, one is their profession and the other is their daily life. It's fair to not want you picture taken all the time, regardless of how much it comes with the territory.

    Now you DO have an argument for when they cover their face and wear next to nothing. THAT is a different story.

    Yeah, but why cover your face? They know who you are and so does everyone that sees the photos. There's no point. You can be embarrassed because you're a celebrity.

    Well, the most immediate reason would be to block the flash. The less obvious reason is that putting your hand up in front of your face is a signifier of displeasure. The third reason is that they might just feel not so fresh that day.
