    I recall girls I knew who had piercings in their nose dating back to the early 90's. It was around the same time that Slash and Lenny Kravitz came along.

    So that's almost 25 years that this "craze" has been going on in this society amongst people who do not normally do so out of cultural traditions like East Indians.
