Nice legs. The reviews of her movie aren't encouraging, though.

That is unfortunate, although I'm not too surprised about that.

The movie was pretty awful. I just saw it. Save your money.

The problem with super hero movies is, well, super heroes. Imagine you wake up one morning faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, etc., etc. Okay, so now what? After about 6 months of doing your magic act and screwing everything in sight you’re bored silly. No challenges, so now the writers have to invent some ridiculous super villain to provide the challenge only you can meet. And, here you are a couple of one dimensional arch rivals playing out an equally ridiculous and unlikely scenario. Now multiply this by 4.
The director is left with a few good looking actors spouting worn out junior high school level puns and an over bloated basket of special effects that are the real stars of the show. It’s almost like watching old porn where the ‘plot’ is just a vehicle to take us from one sex scene to the next, ‘hello ma’am, I’m big John the plumber come to snake your drain.’ In this case the weak plot and dialogue moves us from one over the top special effect to the next. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirts – several times, now.
Actually, based primarily on their avoidance of current cookie cutter SH plots and clichés, my two favorites are ‘Unbreakable’ and ‘Hancock’.
A plot, a plot, my franchise for an original plot!

I'm sure she is, good actress imho.

Yes I imagine they would get bored when not saving the city, the planet from disaster or the latest villain. That's why Superman takes night flights peering at women in the shower with his x-ray vision...okay maybe not. Also use a different villain than what we've seen before. Doctor Doom, Lex Luthor - again? Yes a good script/plot is key.

I personally think there are too many superhero movies and tv shows (with all their spin-offs) getting made today. And if the predictions are true, the number will only increase in the coming years. There can be too much of a good thing. I guess I've reached superhero fatigue.

Writers in Hollywood don't have imaginations anymore. They just reuse old plots as sequels, remakes, and reboots. It's getting tiresome.

Also: Let's take an idea that used to be fun in its original form and make it as dark and serious and boring as possible. That's what's happening these days. Yawn.

As for Kate, we've gone over that hair thing, no need to reiterate.

As long as kids beg their parents to take them to these movies, they'll keep making them.

I really, really like Kate, but I'm not feeling that little pixie hair cut. Hope she grows it out soon.

The first Iron Man was good as well. It's a story of redemption, like Hanckock, and not just about the special effects and high school revenge fantasies.
