I respectfully disagree. overall the ladies are much better looking and more feminine than they were 10 years ago. Many of them do Sports Illustrated and other sexy photo shoots. One has been in Playboy. There has always been a few cute players: Chris Evert, Anna Kournikova, Martina Hingis. It's true that now it's rare that a cute, small girl to be #1 but plenty of the modern ladies are hot. Sharapova is a prime example - she's an amazon at 6' 2'', but she's a hot amazon not a brute.

Sharapova's banned substance helps with endurance, not muscle mass. Still it's a PED. It's reported to be popular among Russian athletes ... hmmmm Maria would be from where? It wasn't banned until 2016. I have no problem believing that an elite athlete would take it for the athletic benefit.

True enough, but up until January 2016 is was legal. So saying, "I am not surprised someone took a perfectly legal supplement" is hardly damning. As I've said before, I think there should be some form of leniency for things that "became illegal." Not saying a free pass -- it's definitely the athlete's responsibility -- but there is a big difference to "I had been using something that was totally legal for years, and one of its ingredients got put on the banned list and I didn't notice and kept taking what I had always been taking" and "I am surreptitiously using a known and banned PED in flagrant violation of the rules."

 

They send a letter to trainers about any and all changes and they normally take place 6 months in advance, for example they decide something is illegal they set a date they send letters out advising people that in 6 months you cna no longer use it so yeah it was either her's or her teams fault

 

IIRC meldonium not endurance enhancer per se, it's damage-protection drug. Basically it let's you skip part of recovery you usually need after reaching top of your body's endurance. It's usual over-the-counter medicine in our parts, esp.recommended for heart patients.

It's main sin bein' of soviet stock so no modern FDA tests were done - and 'cos there's no Big Pharma behind it never will.

We have been very patient because we want you guys to be able to discuss matters. That is what makes this Place great. But the racist namecalling and whatnot will reward people with bans from now on. In this case im refering to namecalling towards other members. Try and understand not all members will have the same opinion as you have that doesnt give you the right to throw out things that will start flameing. I speak in general terms here not pointing anyone out. This does not mean that racist replies will go unnoticed if they are in threads they will be watched and read by us and dealt with accordingly if they require us to do so.

 

So let me get this straight: when you say the "racist namecalling" will not be tolerated, you mean that actually calling someone a racist will apparently get you banned. Thats more of a problem than the racist comments themselves?

Calling members morons, idiots, scum is all fine... but if you refer to a racist as a racist, you get banned. Is this a joke?

 

I thought it would be clear know that any type of flameing comment will likely be under review from us if we see it necessary. In this particular case a comment was reviewed by me that had to do with calling a different member a racist. But that only goes for this case as any case is unique when it occurs. If you wish to discuss this further contact me privatly as this is takeing too much focus from sharapova.
