I used to have 3 of her early films on VHS. She knew her shit. A girlfriend at the time turned me on to them, she was a big fan and it showed in bed.

Sadly, Traci never did any gratuitous nudity after her porn career ended. It's too bad because she had a killer body. Good Lord (pun intended).

 

Rumor was that she was very clever and somehow had significant investment in her first role after she turned 18. Apparently she was the one who "leaked" that all her earlier work was illegal. Something like that. I remember and article in a playboy that I had from the 90s.

 

Yeah - I think that's right. Ginger Lynn, who had worked quite a bit in early Traci Lords films went to jail for contempt of court for refusing to talk about the producers of those films, and what they may have known about Traci's age at the time. I guess she figured that she was better off doing time than crossing the wrong people.

Scrubbed from the net?, not really. There are at least 27 of her movies out there on torrent sites, with about 6 of them having Ginger Lynn as a co-star.

I remember she did say she was under age when she did porn , the next day all her films were pulled from the video store where I used to go.

Seeing the pics here , and some recent ones of Ginger , Traci looks good while Ginger looks really rough.

 

I remember that too, you couldn't rent her videos anywhere.
The first porn I saw as a teen in the late 70's was Baby Face by Alex de Renzy. A few years ago I found out that the main actress was like 16 when she did it.
I still have my original VHS I bought as a teen but now you can find it all over the Internet since it's basically impossible to scrub anything off there.

 

I live in Australia and back in the late '90s I was buying X rated VHS via a mail order company, all had to be ordered from the only state it was legal ( the A.C.T. , federal government and all departments are based there = everything tightly monitored ) you would 'buy' the tapes while also returning a similar X rated adult vid in what amounted to a long term rental for something under $20.00 per tape IIRC.

So there was a catalogue you'd get every few weeks. Then all of a sudden it started listing a number of Traci Lords films. The age of consent in Australia is 16 years old for girls, so with that perhaps these vids were deemed to be legal in Australia. So yeah you could buy Traci Lords films for a while - and I mean there were a few videos listed, not just the one she did at 18+.

Even at the time I thought it was an odd thing to see, I can't remember them being listed for too long, so perhaps there was a very quick change of mind.

I would like to back up my claims more, but I am VERY hesitant to type, anything along the lines of "Traci Lords videos legal to buy" into a search engine. Getting mental images of the door getting smashed in 30 seconds later.
