Actually Trump won by something like 50k. I really wish people would have paid attention in 2000. Popular vote doesn't mean fuck all. He stole the electoral college by a thin margin. That's how you get elected. Not running up meaningless votes in Cali.

    Both sides did ..."interesting" things.
FREAKING dem !POTUS! encouraging ILLEGAL migrants to (due to ineligibility - fraudulently) vote - normal people see that as high treason.
Or that Stein recount focused on states where "Madame" lost?

Of course as Federation citizen i'll be pretty happy if USA gov't will be paralyzed by scandals and infighting this term - so election day i was humming that BtVS song, you know, one 'And there's not a one Who can say this ended well" - but so far Trump looks more trustworthy than people who contempt both the laws of their own country and it's citizens.

I think Russel Brand got lucky because he's kind of a douche. Who knows why they fell in together? But yeah, John Meyer, definitely. I would happily trade lives with that guy for the guitar talent alone. He gets to jam with the likes of Eric Clapton and BB King, and got to all kinds of fuck Katy Perry and Jen Aniston. That boy made a deal with the Devil.

I hate to admit it but, I Kissed A Girl is a fun song.

Trump didn't win the popular vote, and I don't know how California votes are meaningless in any sense. They're every bit as much real Americans as anywhere else in the country.

For fucks sake, can we all get off the political high horses and get back to the reason every single one of us is here: the women!?!? Maybe we need to start a new section for political ranting and arguing. Would that help?

No, Hillary won by 3 million votes. It should not matter where you get your votes from. The only thing that should matter is who gets more votes from Americans. Trump won because of a rigged system. It is pure insanity to somehow win a race when you get 3 million less votes than your opponent. The electoral college should be abolished. One person, one vote, and the person who gets the most total votes should win.

I don't quite get that logic by some. Somehow if you live in CA, your vote shouldn't count? CA is the biggest state in the U.S. Hillary received 3 million more votes from American voters over Trump and somehow TRUMP wins. This is disgusting on all levels.

Don't have to 'believe' anything. It's well documented by the federal courts who told republicans to quit it with their voter suppression over and over again but they didn't listen. A nation that prided itself on democracy made a mockery of it by making it hard to vote. That's not right.

Its to be expected that she won the popular vote, considering the millions of illegals that made it to the polls. But it just sounds like bitter, sore losers complaining about the Electoral College, when most of the media outlets had "Road to 270" or "270 to Win" and EVERYONE was happy because these same channels had Hillary winning by a landslide in ELECTORAL votes (aka the votes that count, which everyone knew beforehand). Fact of the matter is, the popular vote was irrelevant before the election, and it remains so afterward. Nobody is going to change the rules of a Democratic election process to sooth the egos of the losing candidate's supporters, who got their feelings hurt. Its ridiculous.

When a comment like "all those women should have voted" is posted, it must be pointed out that they in fact did, resulting in a landslide victory for their party....IF we lived in an actual Democracy, that is. Instead we use a dubious system that has awarded the presidency to the candidate that received less votes, for the 2nd time in the last 4 elections.

These are simple facts, but I'm sure you'll come up with some alternate ones.

Do you really think they took the time and made the 'yuge' effort to march on D.C. (estimated 600,000) and nationwide (nearly 3 million) but didn't go to the polls? Remember Hill won the popular vote by over 2 million.
But, more than that, voting alone is not enough. You have to vote and march/protest. In a conversation with A. Phillip Randolph (Early 20th Century Civil Rights leader) FDR said, 'I agree with everything you're saying about what needs to be done. Now, go out there and make me do it.' Well they (organized workers) did 'go out there'; that's how we got The New Deal.
Activism is as - if not more - important than voting. The rank and file don't have million dollar lobbyists on K Street. All they have are their numbers and their big mouths. So, 'I'm proud to be an American...' when I see scenes like this, Women's March, BLM, and even Tea Party (though I disagree with most of what they say, at least they're out there makin' some noise). This is democracy in action, literally.
I'll shut the fuck up now.
