Has no idea what to do with her life since she can't compete. Kind of sad. She needs a good agent.

 

I think part of the problem is the assumption that she needs to do something in entertainment. Just go to school and get a real job. There's nothing saying you need to be famous forever.

 

True. But she's young and very pretty. No reason not to exploit it if you can, especially if you can trade on name recognition. Most people don't get that opportunity. She's losing ground. She could have made a couple million $$$ in endorsements by now.

 

I get the feeling she's made all the endorsement money she's ever going to. Just looking at the careers of some of the most famous gymnasts, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of fame and glory after the Games are over. Even Nadia Comaneci, probably the most famous gymnast ever, runs a gymnastics academy and owns a few sports equipment stores. Not that that's a bad thing, it just means that Olympic success doesn't really translate into mainstream crossover success.

But I hope I'm wrong.
