Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    The reason we support imgbox and imagebam is because they've been around a long time, and they don't delete content. Hosts such as imgchili and imagetwist are notorious for taking down content, and many of the other hosts are fly-by-night concerns who go out of business after a year or two. someimage is a good example of the latter. So, if imagebam and imgbox occasionally suffer some performance issues it's because they have a massive database of user content. Those two hosts represent millions of images on phun alone. Imagine how many pics they host for all the other websites that use their service?
