Hi. being banned and how to deal with.

first: each of the mods here can do without banning members.

if we need to ban someone we do have our reasons (cash-hosts, darkwars, continious breaking the rules etc. ) - to keep phun alive, to establish a basic level of common sense, to protect phunners from malware, to protect active models etc.

so - if you are trying to sign on and notice you cannot because you are banned - you are allowed to create a new account - just for one purpose: to ask why your initial account has been banned. nothing else.

recent experience shows that we mods have been right to ban a lot of posters - it took few time to see banned phunners appearing with a new account and continuing posting like used.

this behaviour only elongates the ban of the original account.

vbulletin has mod- and admin-tools to compare the "background" of accounts looking familiar.

Although I expect those that get banned, expecially for not reading the rules and/or being malicious, aren't going to read this anyway..........but ya'll can't say you weren't warned, and weren't told not to do it.

If I got a dollar for every person I banned or thread trashed in here the last fortnight, I'd be a very rich, content man. As would the rest of us.

If you're banned, we're not stupid and if you sign up under another name, you will be caught and banned for even longer. So don't even try it.
