    The flip side of that is that if it were reported tomorrow that Miley Cyrus is in rehab, or has been arrested for a drug-related offense, or if she has an actual sex tape come out, exactly zero people in the world would be genuinely surprised.

    Moreover, though she actually has a very good voice, a large number of people aren't even aware of it, as she's famous (outside her base) for her antics and exhibitionism more than her talent. She might not mind, but it's still a bit of a shame. But at least she's no Lindsay Lohan, who has all-but killed her own once-promising career.

    What a load of crap. I would be stunned if she wound up in rehab, because by all accounts the only drug she messes with is weed. She has her shit together. I have no idea what you mean when you say only her "base" knows she has a good voice; she's had several songs enter the popular consciousness. She's a pop star, "pop" meaning "popular."
