Maybe someone who knows the techie stuff can answer this for me...what do the numbers after these two clips mean (850 X 480, 960 X 540)? Is that resolution, and if so, what numbers should I look for if I want a better quality copy--the higher ones, or the lower ones? I downloaded the first clip, and while it's a hot clip, the pic isn't the greatest. So, looking at the numbers, will the second one have better resolution, or is the first one better? I'll appreciate your helpful answers, anyone who knows. Thanks!

 

I'm not really a techie, but here's how I understand it.

yes, the two numbers (850x480, 960x540) is the resolution size (length X width) of the video. Generally speaking, the higher the numbers the bigger the resolution size which - in general - means higher quality. There's a lot of other variables (bit rate being the most important one) that can alter the quality as well, but as a simple general rule, the higher the resolution, the better the quality.
