Boudoir-Art - first posting of my own work

Several of you have followed the wanna-be models thread where I promised that my 100th post would finally be something of my own work. Well Azz and a couple of others have been encouraging me to build my own site to feature my own work. I had toyed with the idea many times over the past several years and am now seriously considering it. So here is the first image for what may soon by much more to come.

that is one hi-def boob man. What camera you using with what lens?

 

That was shot with a 6MP Fuji S2 Pro (introduced in 2002). I believe the lens was a Nikon 80-200/2.8. Under studio lighting conditions, I'll still put that camera up against just about anything out there. I now shoot with the Fuji S5.

BTW, I like boobs!

gonna look up our set-up. I have a canon 20d with a couple lenses myself but nothing fancy.

The 20D is still a fine camera. The two lenses I recommend to anyone as some of the best and cleanest glass available for not a lot of money:

1 - 50mm/1.8 by either Canon or Nikon .. it usually runs around $100.
2 - Tamron 28-75/2.8 XR Di .. this lens can be had for around $400, but rivals the Canon/Nikon versions that cost more than double.

 

i actually own the 50mm 1.8, i have a Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 USM Image Stabilizer Lens as well. But i am already thinking about getting the tamron lens cause i want to go with a faster one.

 

I try very hard to have nothing slower than 2.8. Cleaner glass with a bigger aperture is of more value than image stabilization.

That Tamron is my workhorse. It's good for portraits, weddings and more... plus it does macro!

 

yeah, i bought the canon lens for outdoor nature photography. That is why i went with the bigger zoom and stabalizer. if i was thinking about doing model work i would have bought that tamron lens.

 

Bigger aperture means faster shutter speeds, plus shallower depth of field. IMHO, the IS on that lens is merely compensation for the smaller aperture.

If you're serious about shooting, don't forget about Canon's "L" glass. It really does make a difference.

 

i am not going to throw a ton of money at a hobby that is just for nature photography.

I can show you a couple of my nature pics whenever i go hunting but that is about as far as i want to put into a hobby. I would need experience taking pictures before i would throw more money into an amateur hobby.

But i agree the tamron is a very nice lens. I have seen some guys desperate selling them for as low as 200 bucks used. The only thing is i was told tamron although is good is not as tight with quality controls as the anon lens with the same speed.

Thanks. We'll see how quickly I can move. I don't have a ton of stuff in the can right now that would work for this site. I will probably put up some zip sets later this fall and see what kind of response comes from that.

Meanwhile, I have some weddings, h.s. seniors, business clients and more to take care of... and that's what is paying the bills right now.

I did just book a model shoot to build more content and will try to fit in others when I can.
