  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Regs, and those that abide by the rules....this is not directed at you, and you need not read any further.

This is for the noobs, and the posters that up until now, apparently feel that the rules don't apply to them.........You should think again.

If I have to ask for info, or edit another thread title that has nothing more than (insert celeb's name here) and "SWEET CLEAVE", or "TASTY ASS SHOTS", or anything to that effect as the title, I'm going to scrap them on sight. The rules of this forum are quite plainly stated in what else.....the celeb rules thread! Please read the shit, and abide by it.

    4. Thread Titles: Use the celebrities' full name, event and/or short description of pic, and date (of the pic, NOT the date you posted) in the title when starting a thread.

PROPER: "Hayden Panettiere - 2007 Emmy Awards - Sep 16" OR "Hayden Panettiere - pink thongs in Barbados - Sep 18"

IMPROPER: "Hayden Panettiere" OR "Hayden Panettiere - Fucking AWESOME CLEAVAGE!!!!"

(You may put additional comments in the title as long as the basic info stated in the 'Proper Thread Title' above are included. If you do not know the date when the pic was taken, then don't put a date on the thread title.)

This is by far the easiest forum to search for pictures because the titles mean something. Everyone should be glad to follow the rules so their posts can be enjoyed for a long time.

Spot on, the more info in the title, the easier it is for searching and thus reposts can be avoided.

Also, this is a good thread to bring up one of my pet hates, when people put the - (dash) next to a celeb's surname, this means searching under the surname won't bring up the topic. I usually edit 2-3 a day.

And an addition to Salty's point, can you's avoid using caplocks for celeb's entire names and descriptions. It doesn't enhance the appeal of the topic.

Here's an example of a thread title that has both the necessary info such as where the pics are from, but also with room for a witty comment as well. Which is fine. If only he'd written Jessica Simpson instead of jessica simpson, but it's a good example to point out for several reasons.

Punctuation is important in titles -- it's the one place where you have to use "wrong" punctuation" for the search engine.

Like hyphens. Put spaces before and after hyphens!!!!! Like this: First - Last ... not like this: First-Last. Or Asterisks: Like this: * name * ... not this: *name*

There should be spaces before and after the first name, before and after the last name, and space before and after any words (like the event name or the magazine name) that you think people will use to find your post. After all, it's YOUR post! You want people to find it!

Nicely said. I've seen many an occasion when people have had a go at someone for reposting pics they'd already posted, but their thread title was inaccurate, which is why the person couldn't locate it.

I'm unstickying this and will let it slide away. We will bump it if problems arise again, hopefully we don't have to.

One more thing: I re-read the title of this thread. If you use an ellipsis (the three dots ... in your title), put a space before and after the ellipsis, too! ;)
