  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Ok. First post and maybe someone will give me some brownie points for pointing this problem out and not ban me should I do one or two stupid things. ;-)

The current setup makes it hard for people to do activations, if they aren't coder or url savy.

Since I do some light coding and run other vb boards, I noticed that the activation link sent out over emails is incorrect or setup wrong or something... For example, the main link sent out to click and immediate activate the account for posting, etc... is http://phun.org/forums/register.php?a=act&u=[userid]&i=[activationcode]. However, this points back to the url http://forum.phun.org/?a=act&u=[userid]&i=[activationcode]. Looks like a referal subdomain is setup wrong. The [register.php] portion of the url is killed when the referal is passed.

The correct url for those unable to activate is:
    http://forum.phun.org/register.php?a=ver
Just enter in the activation code and you should be set.

The longer way is to use this url:
http://forum.phun.org/register.php?a=act&u=[userid]&i=[activationcode]. Substitute the "[userid]" and "[activationcode]" portion of the email with the numbers you see in your email.

Thanks, brah. The links in the e-mail I received weren't working, but the link in your post worked. I can now complete the de-lurking process.

thansk for the heads up, i saw earlier that one of the mods e-mailed the site admin about this, they have been doing server upgrades and hit a few snags, they are on it though and hopefully this will not be an issue for much longer
