Add a new adjustment layer.... channel mixer....click OK.... click monochrome at the bottom....adjust the color levels to your liking...it automatically creates a layer mask..box next to the 3 little circles in that layer.... now you can use a paint brush to reveal or hide what you want....use a black brush to reveal what you want in color..... white brush to touch up mistakes or what you want to be black and white.....just one of several techniques......but fun and easy to play with...
