  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Can't select text in Edge (Chromium)

    Does anyone else have problems selecting text with the mouse cursor using Edge? As in, nothing happens? I have Phun whitelisted in my adblocker, and in fact tried disabling all my extensions, but to no avail. I see that I can select text in this edit box, but nothing outside it. So selecting multi-part links has to be done one at a time.

    Probably related, I can't search using the quick Search box on each page either. Clicking on it doesn't bring up the cursor to allow me to enter text. I have to use the Search Forums link to do a search.

    I wish I could help you, but I opened up Edge to test and I could do all of the things you are unable to do.

    Interesting. Are you using Edge on Windows 10 64-bit?

    I just tried installing both the Beta and Dev versions, disabling sync on install, to make sure I was using a completely clean setup, and I was unable to do either of the issues I stated above. I can't imagine what else could be causing the problem.

    I don't have Chrome installed (may have to try it, just for testing), but I have no such issues in Firefox.

    Edit: Installed Chrome and have no issues there either. :dunno:

    Yep, verified Windows 10/64 Bit. On an older Dell Laptop though.

    I'm also a chrome girl and don't use Edge normally. I'm wondering if one of your add ons is the culprit.

    Now there are issues for users with using ad blockers although I don't remember reports of not being able to highlight text or not being able to search. It was typically not being able to post replies.

    Can you try disabling the ad blocker, refreshing the page and testing that?

    As I said in the original post, I not only have my adblocker whitelisted here, I actually tried using Edge with no extensions enabled at all. In fact, I tried it with a clean install, without my settings being synced, so that it was completely factory settings. Nothing works. Weird.

    Can I ask what version of Edge you're using?

    Thanks, same build as me. I even disabled all other running programs, and still no luck (on two different computers). Weird. Guess I'll just have to get used to it. Thanks for your time.
