  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    When I spent hours uploading 100 HQ pictures sets at Imagevenue, 3MB at a time, and using my forum code saved someone else the hassle of doing the same thing, they were more than welcome to it. The more the merrier. I only hated to see something I posted somewhere else less than an hour after I posted it.

    As far as quotes in the first post, if it bothers you that much, vbulletin can be set up so that quoting a quote can't be carried forward into a subsequent post. If it is set up that way, and you insert your forum code in quotes in the first post, the forum code can't be copied from the existing quote by opening a quote. I learned that when one of the more excitable posters in another forum demonsrtated the method.

    ^^^ It's not the "pirating" of our code in itself that's the problem - we have to live with parasites in so many walks of life! Some would describe many of the posters on phun as parasites too! ;) It's the fact that it's bringing us to the attention of the DMCA folk, who simply call for the deletion of our handiwork. Or the code goes round the web like wildfire causing the imagehost's servers to creak at the seams, and they consequently delete the files as a safety measure, blaming DMCA!

    It's a troll...it is happening again....This is the second time someone has reported all 3 first and last 3 pages of my thread....in my case it has nothing to do with the DMCA or the image host....just some loser that has no balls to express their issues any other way than being a limp dick a-hole....

    and there is no doubt....that's it's someone who visits this site.....unfortunately.....

    IIRC another forum that I was on (Anothersite) went through a similar thing, they ended up having only amateur models and approved models pictures in the forums, everything else was stopped. If anyone else here still frequents it, they may know more about what happened.

    There is nothing we can do about RS links, or any other file host.

    As for the content "stealing" measure are being implemented, in the next few days I hope, to help with the problem, but they are not a 100% cure.
