  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    More and more I'm seeing people reply to posts, quoting the post, and adding absolutely nothing else. It's like they don't know how to type a response or something. Or is this like some new thing on internet forums where if they agree with an exclamation in a post, or have the same question as posed in a post, they simply repeat it by only quoting the post?

    Whatever, it's annoying and I don't understand it. It simply bumps a thread with nothing useful in that "response". I guess it increases their post count without having to type anything. :rant:

    There is a problem going on where adblock prevents users from being able to get into the text area to type a response. I'm pretty sure most of them are not doing such on purpose. I was even affected by such until people figured out what was causing it. I at that time also tried to quote a post to see if that would help. :lol:

    There is a work around where you need to enter certain exceptions into the adblock program, or it has to be turned off and the page needs to be refreshed. We have an announcement at the top, but it seems not everyone is noticing it.

    Ahhh. That explains it. I'd seen something about Adblock and these text boxes before, but it was long enough ago (or my memory is bad enough :) ) that I didn't put 2 and 2 together. Thanks for the explanation.

    No problem, many years ago I've done that cheap maneuver at multiple other places adding QFT (quoted for truth), so I certainly know how it looks!. :lol:
