Maybe you can do me a favor, cuz I've hit a brick wall of sorts. What was the name of the British drinking song that the melody of the Star Spangled Banner was taken from, and what are the original lyrics to that song? Maybe you know of a good source other than what I've checked to learn that info from. Obviously it's an old English folk song.

And, contrary to the popular myth, most of it pretty accurate.

 

I have a "C-List" celeb acquaintance who had her Wiki page hacked. The bio said things like "past her prime" and getting fired and "aging dyed blonde..." I laughed. She didn't.

 

btw, I think most of Wiki is accurate. It's a bitch to have your page hacked, though.

 

I mean, some of the high profile pages are abused on a regular basis, hence the belief that the whole site isn't accurate. But i'm sure it's just a small percentage of error.

For general information, names, dates, locations, histories, it's the only thing i use now.
