Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    this "skip this ad"-thing is probably the worst ad-"campaign" ever, but also pretty popular these days....

    imagevenue used to be so awesome. then they added ads, i have to hit refresh on half of the pics because they don't load, and now this.

    Imagevenue was banned on another well known celeb site a few months back because one of their advertisers was planting malware. They are allowed again now but it pays to be careful.

    I used to only use imagevenue as it was awesome, the skip the ads thing is really pissing me off now.

    thinking about only using imagebam now.

    Anyone using internet explorer, you can add this site to the "Restricted sites" list [click "Sites..."]. For that list/sites is active x, downloads, scripts,etc not posible (check with clicking on the button (see pic) "Custom Level" to see if no one or anything have change the options for this (Restricted sites), its standard set to "High", must be on high). Your then safe, do as here to add imagevenue <*.imagevenue.com> :

    Imagevenue is still the best imagehoster IMO,it's stable & fast and the pics last very long.
    This "skip this ad" thing is annoying,but i only have it one time per session.....

    the bad these ads are...
    honestly - is there an alternative?
    is there any known imagehost used around here that at least partially is able to take the load?

    as for now: why not using IPLED (check here, bottom) for "offline-pic-browsing"? maybe that also will help to reduce imagevenue-page-clicks and lead the guys over there to reconsider their advertising-strategy?

    I'm glad this was brought up. Imagevenue has become a major annoyance. I have an old computer that doesnt handle the supersized photos to begin with so, all the ads they've thrown in make them almost intolerable now. How nice it would be if Phun created its own imagehost :)

    Another Celeb Site did exactly that when it created Uploadem, and that's gone down the pan. Imageshadow went a few months back, and it's been obvious for a few months now that imagevenue is struggling, it has got very, very slow.
    We want it all for free, they have to pay for bandwidth......................
