Sorry, Kante, can't imagine the problem.
This episode was transcoded with MediaCoder from flv to avi and afterwards direct stream copied with VirtualDub.
Unlike some other episodes in flv, this one plays with every of my players: normal WinMP, MPC, VLC, KMPlayer, ZoomPlayer etc.

Since it is an avi file, let's make sure it is not corrupted. I made a checksum with HJ-Split, i guess you have that tool, it should be: 335505406

GSpot says it's using the (FFmpeg) VP6 / Flash codec from On2, just google for "VP6" and you will get any easy download from your place.

I thought i'm on the sure side by posting this avi-version to avoid any flv-troubles, even if it's a bit bigger than the flv-version, but unfortunately i was wrong.

Thx LouisZ. Looks like a great vid. Unfortunately, I can't get it to play either. Locks up my system with 99% CPU usage. I just downloaded the CCCP, a couple of players but it's a no go. But I ain't givin up. I gotta see this vid.

Same for me, downloaded and unpacked fine, but then whenever I try to access the folder the file is in, the Machines just runs 100%CPU. Shame, all the others have been awesome though, so many thanks for all your efforts. Probably a shitty Windows Vista indexing problem or something

Me too. But if I leave it for about 45 seconds it opens in Windows Media Player, but only audio, no video. Very disappointing. Video looks very hot. And I've never had a problem with any of Louis' files.

Since I've never thanked you before Louis, Thanks for all your great posts.

I had the same issue as everybody else described, and the following fixed the problem with this particular file. Note that this only works for .avi files, and not the .flv files from Dancing Bear.

"Windows XP Explorer has a 'feature' to provide a preview in the Details box on the left of the file you have selected, if it’s supported. Image files, HTML pages, video clips, MP3s, etc are all previewed (even with the folder view open).

If you have a large movie clip and it either is corrupt (ie. no index from a partial download) or it uses an unsupported codec, then Explorer tries to load the whole file. This can slow your computer a lot and prevent deleting/renaming/moving/etc the file until it’s finished. "

Run regedit and find the following key :

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.avi\shellex\PropertyHandler

Delete the “Default” value then close. You should now be able to see .avi previews almost instantly but without the crashes.

    Thanks goes to: http://www.moviecodec.com/general/xp-windows-explorer-avi-problem-3588/

I extracted the files days ago and it wouldn't play for me even with VLC (Win7 64)
I have all codices and it still wouldn't play.
So, I converted it BACK to the original .flv format and it's fine now.
I think it was just an odd problem with the libraries of the conversion software.

    BTW: thank you again louis.
