    there have been some vid-mania-threads lately using fake rapidshare-links.
    i never klicked them, but there has been evidence that these links are "made" for RS-account-fishing. at least you´re not going to get the vid you were looking for...

    why don´t you just hover your mouse over the appear-to-be-a-valid-rapidshare-link before you klick?

    Rapidshare is OK, just got some DNS issues.

    If you copy the info from this hosts file http://www.xup.in/dl,15733470/hosts.zip (which I found on another forum) into your hosts file, Raidshare works fine.

    Enable direct downloads guys

    Login to your RS account
    Click on Options
    Check the "Direct Downloads" box
    Save the settings

    Now, for as long as your RS cookie is saved in the browser, and you click on an RS link, the save as dialog box should pop up without having to go to any RS pages.

    So if for some reason an RS login page pops up when you click on a link, you KNOW it's a phishing site
