Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I don't have a problem with the odd GIFs with screencaps being posted in CX, but I'm against having video clips creeping in too, especially as in the case you've brought to our attention where the video clip isn't actually provided anyway but instead an off-site link to where the video presumably IS available?

    I've trashed that thread, but if my colleagues disagree, we'll argue about it in the Mod forum.

    PS I'm happy for the thread, minus the offending off-site video link, to be restored to CX once we've agreed a party line.
