  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Nevermind just saw TaiPan's sticky...I agree with everything in his sticky except for the last part..."-you have to post the vid infos(filesize,resolution,duration,filetyp,file password,etc.) as text in the body of your thread,even if you have posted them in your vidcap"

    It is just redundant to actually have to type out this info when the screencap allready has it. Only reason I can think of for this rule is that it might make spammers less likely to come here....but that is a big might with Sharingmatrix allowed still. ;) C'est la vie I suppose ours is not to wonder why, ours is but to do and die. :)

    It aids the Mods in doing their job, plus if the image host goes down, at least the file info is still available, and it makes it more difficult for the copy and paste posters just looking for some quick $$

    The old GS ruined it by selling (can't really blame him for that), and the new GS (!) by trying to make a cashmachine out of this "other" board
    I've been here quite a while, and since i'm not a mod anymore, i have a lot of free time now ;)
    (btw. all old mods are still "temporarily suspended", the new guy wasn't man enough to fire us ...)

    I'm willing to believe this, even if i think the bigger spammers are well organized and have all this info already written down.
    Btw:

    "etc" is something i wouldn't write in the rules, it only leads to avoidable questions
