    I already thanked you for the valuable info TP but I wanted to take the time to actually write out a profound "Atta Boy" for this tip. I've gone back to several HF links and each has worked. Now I'll need a new HDD to hold even more vids... :)

    thanks...that's an excellent idea...but i have a question...those new links are counted in my download statistics? those are deleted files which do not appear anymore in the section "My files"..so how something that is not in my files could be counted?

    I would think not. If you come upon offline links, that's usually because that Hotfile account is now deactivated. If that account is deactivated, then of course you're not going to see the statistics - cuz that account would be closed and you wouldn't be able to access.

    Now, if you're asking whether using this trick on active hotfile links will count towards your stats, I don't know for sure... but you wouldn't need to do that since they're active!

    Do you really think that they will restore an account that has once been deactivated because of copyright infringement?
    The only reasons that they are massivley wasting their diskspace by storing reported files i can think of are some legal reasons, and that's a bit frightening ...

    anyway, not working anymore ...

    ... and no, i don't think we can access the files anymore. They seem to be located on a hidden part of their servers, using your HF premium login/pw don't work.
