    Chrome/Edge, and I think FF too, is scanning every page for malware before it serves it to you. They maintained the database for "dangerous" sites. There is a slim to none chance to be infected this way (browing the web).
    Beware of phishing in non-Google email accounts. Never open any executive files, etc
    Use AdBlock. I use two: AdGuard and Adblock Plus. They stop 80% of the ads.

    Nearly all those problems you are reporting here via AV apps are working for me.

    Imagetwist has been a real pain on Safari lately. Redirects and popups. Any suggestions for a good ad blocker for Safari? I’ve been running AdGuard (free version) and it is not dealing with Imagetwist’s nonsense.

    Try this:
    Go to Settings > Safari and toggle on "Block Pop-ups". This will prevent most pop-up ads from appearing.
    Prevent Cross-Site Tracking: This setting prevents websites from tracking your browsing activity across different websites.

    In my experience, ads are difficult to block on mobile devices and tablets. Easy on PC.

    UBlock Origin Lite works well for Chrome. Not sure how it would be with Safari. :shrug:

    But i've no VPN installed.

    Have you tried to disable the VPN temporary?

    I just can suggest the usual procedure atm, clear cookies and cache,log out of imagetwist,log in again.

    I'll ask @S-type ,maybe he has another idea.
