  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

An educated guess is that most of the spyware, virus, etc. crap comes via the iframe embedded in the imagepal page that points to zedo.com.

Luckily FF with NoScript takes care of that iframe bs.

    Just my :2cent:

While I hate to see someone like Slater be upset over his hosting site be banned, I am glad that it is due to the fact that I had to re-install windows to get rid of massive amounts of spyware, a worm, and a nasty trojan horse that killed the internet until I re-installed. I thought it was just a little bug and something that I did someplace else and hadn't noticed, but after clicking on and Imagepal hosted pic, my computer went nuts again.

Hopefully Slater will still post pics, because he has done some great posts of great shots... and with any luck if he can get his issues fixed it may be allowed to be used again in the future.

Thanks for thinking of us little guys though mods... it's appreciated.

I was hoping that slater and the other guys would still hang around and post. I like to think that people are here for the phun, the hosting site should be a secondary matter. Unfortunately it looks likat phun isn't the top priority for some, but this place will go on. And we can enjoy pics without the frustration of them loading with problems.

No problem, we're here for the people. No person is better than any other here. And we take the opinions of a new member with 6 posts just as seriously as a 2 year veteran with 3,000 posts.
