Well, technically I will be a WoW noob. Though I am a fast learner and have been following WoW off and on for years now so I am not a 100% noob.

I am just worrisome of the swarm of Goblins and Worgen that will pepper the landscape in the beginning. Hence, I will wait a week or two for those people to get bored.

And yes, it will be better with a group of people you chat with from time to time.

 

Well, I want to try out the Worgen (since I like werewolf, not those from a movie that girls with no boyfriends prefer to watch)

Perfectly understandable. As they do look like bad ass(at least the males do) and as a fan of werewolves(who certainly should get as much love as vampires), I will try them out too. And I am elated at Goblins being playable. As now I have a cute shortie on the Horde side to play.

So how do you like Worgens being their own mount?

 

Well, I don't know that much, SS. I try to know much less about previews, trailers and closing comments when there's a game I'm waiting for. I easily get disappointed... I remember when I first tried Batman: Arkham Asylum. I wasn't aware about anything and... WOW! This is an awesome game. So if I can get into Cataclysm in the same way, then there's no problem. I'll sure start a Warrior (I like Warriors and my Druid is spec. as Feral). Goblins could be awesome vs. Gnomes.

And ya, I understand what you mean. Being surprised can be great, course sometimes it can be irritating as fuck.

I have thrown around a lot of ideas of what to start out as. And overtime, it sure has changed. First, it was a dwarf hunter as that original cinematic was bad ass plus I am more a ranged sort of player. Then it was a gnome mage. Then a draenei paladin. And now, maybe a human paladin. Ah, decisions decisions.

I swear if they allowed gnome hunters, I play that first no matter what. But damn them. They don't and yet they allow undead hunters which is so against the lore, it's fucking stupid.

Luckily, I can settle for a goblin hunter at least.

 

LOL! My bro told me to start with a Druid so I could decide which class to use next (because of spec.). I went to Feral, tried to master the Bear form for instances and I could use a Warrior... But I'm somewhat... risky to team with when I'm tanking or "second tank" if the main is in trouble And no one should underestimate my luck.

 

Yes, I thought about that as well. As you can try out the 3 positions well with such. But I seem to lean more to ranged classes like hunters or mages. And gnomes, I just love my gnomes. Though goblins will give them a run for their money now... literally and figuratively.

 

The funny thing is when I see the tank in trouble, I instantly switch form and writes : "I know what I do." So with my self-healing macro (converting Rage into HP), I say to healers to take care of the main tank while I hold on and when it's okay, we restart.

 

Don't know(or remember) enough about the mechanics to fully understand what you just said there. But alrighty!

 

If I remember the power... it's Survival Instincts. The more rage you get, faster you heal.

With the new mechanics prior/for Cataclysm and a few patches away before such happens. I am gonna wait until last minute to do a crash course on the classes. Because I am not going into battle, with dated information.

Though I am peeking here and there at the current developments, for curiosities sake.
