Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     IMO text is all about layerblending options.........I use drop shadow and bevel and emboss a lot.........lots of options and outcomes............Not sure how that works in gimp.........also use the layer glow inner outer........too......

    Yeah, I use a 1 px stroke and a light dropshadow on most stuff. I dont know Agadez so it's hard to get a handle on what sort of font he'd want. This isnt really my style of sig, but he had a specific set of pics he wanted used.
