Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     Is it a brand new laptop? Because if it is, there may be more issues. If it is all brand new parts in a brand new laptop, there may not be XP drivers for some or most of the hardware.

    Already ran into that problem installing XP on a Vista laptop :?

    it is a brand new Compaq Presario CQ 81, and yes I have thought of the compatibility with XP and that may very well be the issue.. So he is stuck with 7 then!

    not sure exactly, he thinks ther are too much unnecessary shit on the desktop and on startup, and someone have convinced him that XP is much faster, I sort of like it too, not as much as I like XP but way better than vista!
