    They liked it, but they went with "testimonials" - Guys who used the equipment and the company talking about how good they are. (A good "testimonial" ad is really effective. So I wasn't mad. I wrote some of the testimonials, too.)

    It was only a presentation. It never made it to the "ad" stage. I got a one-time fee for creating the presentation - lotsa work.

    EDIT: The ad agency pitching the ads paid me, not United Rentals.

    I did that United Rentals thing when I was married and working at home. For that job I got paid 1/3 of what I make in a whole year of what I make doing my current job.

    Hard Rock Hotel here used to have a huge billboard of a woman holding a pair of dice over the nipples of her bare breasts. I don't recall if there was any writing. :lol:
    Gives the impression the car has good handling and stability. Pretty conservative thinking though.

    When you work for an agency, regular or freelance, you sign away any rights to "royalties." Once you hand over your work, it belongs to the ad agency. You give up your rights to it.
