I allowed a scripts globally, then whenever something pop up I mark that as not trusted, but it still pops up, like livejasmin for example..

the window pops up but all content is replaced with the noscript logo, except the text and colors on the page. are there some more setups I have to do?

There are some ads that just know how to get around NoScript

 

so I could just remove noscript then cause it really doesn't make any difference then..

And that's what it's supposed to do, it prevents the script from running

I'm telling you, it's the way the advertisers are writing the code...I have NoScript, Adblock, plus a pop-up blocker with FF and with the Google toolbar and still these ads make it past everything :?

 

You need to reapply the defaults. If you allow global then it shuts it off.
No script doesnt kill livejasmin, but adblock and site block together do.

I've started to see the new mega upload one about once a week when they change servers, and i see the background for the cover image for imagehaven, but that's it. I dont see anything but those 2. I just leave scripts off for Haven, and havent bothered to track down the megaupload one yet.

Do you have any problems with FF being a resource hog Cy?

 

Not really. I have 4 gigs of ram on the big lappy and I allow FF about 300 megs. System gets about 800-1000 and the rest is usually spent on Gimp (lots a brushes/filters/fonts/scripts/plugins ) On a normal night on phun I run about a 90% memory load and about 36% system load. But then, i dont run windows or mac, so Im the one who controls things.
