    The current chair is real problem.....I could not get the clamps on very good, so I glued as best I could. Tomorrow, I will drill out both joints and screw in a quarter inch diameter lag bolt. If that does not work, the the chair is history. We shall see...:fingersx:

    Pics probably would not help....the chair is a calapsable style with thick pieces of leather for the seat and the back. My father in law got it many years ago on a trip to South America. The chair is an engineering nightmare in that the high stress points are also the weakest components.....makes no sense. :dunno:
