Both at the job I retired from and my current consulting employer use XP....so I don't have that problem....I do have vista on my laptop, but it is not connecting to any wireless system right now....I have to reintall the Vista files I think....apparently buggered or deleted a needed file when my AT&T aircard was uninstalled.

I am still pissed off at MS Office 2010. It killed me! Takes me for ever to figure out how to do what I used to do in a second. As I don't use it much anymore, I just can't see spending the time to customize the interface in a manner that expedites use of those critical functions for me. And now that my wife has retired from teaching, I no longer do documents for her, so what is the point. I still think WordPerfect smokes Word.

 

I need to do that....I have noticed when I use my sig, sometimes it takes minutes to load....which means the page takes forever to completely load. :?

 

Both PictureStack and PictureScream operate about the same.....some differences that take a little to get used to when you switch....Of course, of late I have been using these hosts an average of about 500 times a day. :roll:

 

after you mentioned the slowness of Picstack, I began paying attention ... and could see that picstack was the last thing to load ... so I rehosted my sig.

When pic spamming, I resize my pics so that the longest side is a max of 600 pixels....my way of being kind to Phun's servers.

 

I need to feed the dogs and do a few other things....back in a bit.

hey good evening Friends.

heh Throbbn I freaked out this Crew of a Russian Yacht sailing the Northwest Passage the other day. they were buying 5000 litres of diesel from us, I went to go talk with them and I heard their Russian accent as they greeted me.

I said to them "Dobry Den" which means Good Afternoon. right?

really surprised them they said Dobry DEN!" I put my hands up after that I said "sorry that's all I fuggin know" they just laughed and said "no that's enough!"

I'm back. My ride called off at the last minute, so I had to hustle to find one! I found one, luckily. Whew.

 

LOL I just know how to say the equivalent of "hey baby" and a few other useful phrases. they always LOVE it because they don't really expect you to know any Russian at all.

those Russian guys are a trip! you must have made their day.
