    Evidently, there is a significantly large % of fans that like it the way it is. I have a racing talk show now on and the host of the show just said something that makes a lot of sense to me......races at Talladaga and Daytona do not belong in the "championship chase." Racing at those two tracks is not real auto racing and more resembles a crap shoot. Given the reality of the extremely low probability the two races at each speedway will be either significantly changes or deleted, changing the schedule so that neither Daytona or Talladaga races are included in the last ten races of the year makes good sense to me.

    Good auto racing fans of NASCAR like aggressive racing with rubbing, bumping, etc. There are sick-oes out there that like to see life threatening crashes. One of the reason I am not that big a fan of Indy Car racing (open wheel) is that you cannot touch, bump, etc. without creating a dangerous crash 90% of the time.

    Sorry, I was AFK for a while. I heard thunder and checked the local radar.....sever thunderstorm just to the north of me :shock: so I took the dogs out before it gets here. Need to wake the wife now to find out when she has to get up so I can set an old fashioned wind up alarm clock in case we have power blips here that know out our electric alarm clocks. She has a teaching substitute job tomorrow and can't be late.

    Yep....raining hard now....but I think it will just be a typical t-storm and not a really bad one. reports of 2.5 inches of rain 5 miles north of me in the last hour.
