whenever stuff like that happens at work and there is no e-mail trail or anything else to document, I always say something like "damn I probably lost the stuff - what can we do to recover?". Most of the time it's determined that the other guy screwed up and I look like a team player who doesn't point fingers ... every once in a while it was me that fucked up .... and I'm still OK because I didn't blame the other guy.

Sometimes you have to be careful - you don't want to damage the relationship like this guy did with Inuk.

he might of thought he'd gain something by not taking the blame & and trying to throw you under the bus ... but in the end he lost much more: your trust.
