    My car was covered in 1/4 inch of ice after work. We had to chop through the ice to get in our cars and warm them up. The ground was a layer of ice, then 2 inches of snow, then 1/4 inch of ice covering the snow. You couldn't "walk on the snow." You had to get each foot through the ice layer and then through the snow to walk.

    Any cement that was clear had a coating of ice, too.

    Today a warm front is moving through. We're getting light rain, the snow is melting, and the ice has turned to water. They say that we may break the record high temperature tomorrow!
