    Garage door broke today......a few hinges broke due to fatigue fractures......the door is too heavy for the standard hardware. Seems I have to have it repaired about every two years.....:?

    remote electric.....I also wear a remote opener on my belt when I ride my hog so I don't have to get off of it to just ride on in and shut the door behind me.

    I had to disengague the opener/closer and manually close it late this afternoon......the drag on the closer from the door, due to the broken hinges caused the closer to think the door is hitting something which makes the closer automatically reverse the closing action and fully open the door. I also removed power from the closer so that the wife cannot activate it remotely and really fuck things up. :lol:

    The problem is strictly structural with the physical door itself....no electronic involved with the malfunction. If I had a store where I could just go buy the parts, I would fix it myself.

    I cut up two wheelbarrows of smaller oak limbs this morning......I decided to use my 10" electric chainsaw.....it was much easier than using my 18" power chainsaw. The electric one is meant to be on an extension pole, but it is also removable.....obviously I took it off the 12-foot pole. :)

    Chainsaws can bite you quickly and badly my friend......to me they are one of the scariest common power tools around. A user needs to learn and follow the safety rules and procedures.
