Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     When you optimize for the Web, you have control over the size. You can basically leave it at the same size, or take it down 1 percent at a time. It's not just a wham-bam deal.

    I know. I have Photoshop. I usually start at 8 and look at the quality -- and the file size. Anything 9-12 at the sig size is basically undetectable. I've been using PS files on the Web for at least 10 years now.
