    It's crazy in SF - they have all these old WWII airplanes buzzing the beatniks and liberal tree-huggers here... quite funny. :)

    You'd to read them before the movies release. It's just a shame that movies were produced during J.K. Rowling was writing... Did you know? Potter normally had to die but she had to change many things. At the same time, many fans asked they didn't want to see Potter die. She did the changes just after the news!

    Interesting. Harry Potter is just a genre I've never really had an interest in to be honest. I hate Lord of the Rings too. Anything with wizards in really.:)

    Then the Lord of the Rings is FAR from fantasy to be honest. LOTR is more complex on the human feelings, the corruption, resistance, sacrifices, ect.

    I agree, it's just the setting of the thing. I thought it was visually spectacular but those subjects have been covered far better in other films.


    For me they're way too long, contain clunky dialogue, boring characters, and wizards, elf's, ogres and the like, which I have no interest in.

    I've read the LOTR book too and didn't enjoy it either. It's that whole fantasy type genre I've never been into. I hate RPG computer games too.
