You know Madeline Zima (Gracie) did nude scenes with David Duchovny in Californication, right?

lol I don't read much. If I do, it's this hilarious series by Janet Evonavich. You should check it out. The last one I read I literally sat here for 10 minutes laughing uncontrollably at one of the parts!

It's about a girl, Stephanie Plum, who was just laid off and now she works for her cousin who owns a bail bonds office. And she had to catch all the people who missed their court dates. I think there are about 15 books in the series, and then like 4 or 5 little side holiday stories.

I've seen her books in the store. Is that the series that is alphabetical or numerical? Evanovich did a series like that, I know.

Yes! That's it! This is her main series. She had written other stories and done collabrative stuff with other authors. But this series is a must read! I sat here one day and read 2 book in the series. They're a really easy read and not to mention hilarious!

    Stephanie Plum Series:
    One for the Money
    Two for the Dough
    Three to Get Deadly
    Four to Score
    High Five
    Hot Six
    Seven Up
    Hard Eight
    Visions of Sugar Plums
    To the Nines
    Ten Big Ones
    Eleven on Top
    Twelve Sharp
    Plum Lovin'
    Lean Mean Thirteen
    Plum Lucky
    Fearless Fourteen
    Plum Spooky
    Finger Lickin' Fifteen
    Sizzling Sixteen

The italicized ones are the in between ones. I've only read one of those. And 16 came out last month on hard cover.

Yes! They're really funny! Especially the further they go on! There's definitely some suspense, but there is a lot of humor and romance as well. It's the perfect package!

If you like some humor and sarcasm in your suspense books, my current favorite author is Nelson DeMille. He just released a new one: The Lion.

His main hero is John Corey, a retired NY cop-turned-detective-turned-Special Agent. A couple other books feature John Sutter, a lawyer. They are The Gold Coast (referring to the Long Island "Gold Coast") and the Gate House. But those books aren't about law -- they're about people and some predicaments they get into.

If you saw the movie "The General's Daughter," that was based on a DeMille book.

Oh cool! I'll definitely have to pick up a few!

Evonovich's books are kinda like that. The suspense is about her trying to capture the people and all the stuff that goes wrong in her doing it (which is hilarious). She rarely gets hurt but crazy stuff happens to her!

She also works with a black ex-hoe (who is freaking hilarious), and he grandmother is old and crazy. You just have to check out the rest. I think you'll like them!
