what exposure? These aren’t national news. No one interviews them over it. They get zero press outside of celeb nudity forums.

There obviously have been self-released leaks, but that was back when this stuff was still in the news, and always reality-tier Z listers. No one cares anymore. When celebs find out they quietly issue takedown notices. There’s no reason for any actual celebrity to do this.

 

Social media. You don't need interviews and whatnot these days.

Dafne Keen is a raising star and was in Deadpool & Wolverine last year, which was the biggest film of 2024. Her nudes and masturbation photos/videos got leaked online a less than two months later. Yet it was barely talked about on social media due the swift takedown notices.

If she wanted exposure then she would just mentioned the leaks on social media instead of quietly sending takedown notices. Same with the other recent leaks.

 

By “easier” I just mean “less difficult”. Not literally easy.

 

And there’s no amount of exposure you can get from nude leaks that’s going to top her actual career achievements.

This whole “they leaked it themselves” shit is a weird fantasy that has existed since before the Fappening. I don’t know if it’s a woman-hating thing or just how some guys get past the guilt of looking at the content, but either way it’s really dumb.

 

Takedown notices mean nothing as you know. You don't have to mention leaks, they carry on by themselves. She was in acolyte, got nothing. She had minor screentime in Deadpool. Then leaks, suddenly she's everywhere and gained a following despite that DP3 came out well over a year ago.

But I'm sure she's a sweet girl who would never do anything like that. Never.

I would argue that people still care about leaked celebrity nudes and sex tapes, but it just isn’t viewed as a scandal anymore. There was an article by Neon back in 2015 about the CEO of Miss America making a public apology to Vanessa Williams for losing her Miss America title back in 1984 over her nude photos that Penthouse magazine published. It highlighted how times had changed due to the public having seen so many celebrities naked. It even cited The Fappening as an example.

It was posted on September 15th 2015, exactly a year after The Fappening. I think that event played the biggest role in normalizing celebrity nudes and sex tapes. But the media will still report on them if the celebrity comments on them as was the case with Bella Thorne in 2019, Chris Evans in 2020, and Drake in 2024. The mainstream media is also covering the leaked sex tape of Beéle and Isabella Ladera because the latter confirmed it, and she is accusing Beéle of leaking the video. But if the celebrity is quite about it then the media won’t report it.

 

She had a major role in Logan, and was the star of the show His Dark Materials with James McAvoy that had three seasons. She was such a highlight in Logan that they brought her back for Deadpool & Wolverine. So she was a raising star and had a following way before the leaks (which most people don’t even know about).

Plus, hackers were selling her nudes from my understanding. She didn’t leak them herself.

 

Well, there was a ton of victim-blaming when The Fappening happened. So it is probably that. People should just own up to the fact that they are basically voyeurs/peeping toms, and admit that looking at the content is a guilt pleasure. I have.

 

This is just wrong. One of the best metrics of online popularity for an actress are their popularity in Google searches and on IMDB rankings. Both those metrics skyrocketed after Deadpool and Wolverine. She was the hottest actress in the hottest movie of the year. She didn’t need the additional exposure.

As others have said people say this almost exclusively because it makes them feel better about jerking off to her leaked photos if they rationalize they were leaked intentionally. I fully believe that you believe what you are saying and that you will disregard any evidence to the contrary because it is incompatible with your own self evaluation. Or to put it in simpler terms it is far easier for you to blame the victim than it is to admit you are a sexual deviant. Hopefully though this will help others realize the insanity of what you are saying.
